Growth of Passenger Traffic in Far Foreign Segment is 75% in First Half of the Year
For the first half of 2017, Novosibirsk Tolmachevo airport served 2,156,004 passengers, which is 25.9% more than last year, including 92,806 transit passengers. The number of passengers on domestic routes amounted to 1,496,499 (+17.9%), on international routes – 659,505 (+48.5%).

In June the passenger traffic of the airport increased by 17.0% compared to indicators of 2016 and amounted to 478,317. 349,982 passengers (+12.3%) served on domestic routes and 128,335 (+32.3%) on international routes.
The number of transfer passengers increased by 58% in the first six months of the year, compared with the same period, and their share in the total passenger traffic increased to 20%.

The most popular destinations in June were Salekhard (growth of passenger traffic more than 10 times), Rostov-on-Don (+378%), Gorno-Altaisk (+244%), Tyumen (+203%), Yekaterinburg (+101%), Seoul (+295%), Fergana (+165%), Namangan (+81%), Astana (+70%) and Dushanbe (+25%). At the same time, the growth of passenger traffic for the far foreign destinations in June was 61%, and by the end of the half-year is 75%.

In January-June, the airport handled 22,662 aircraft movements (+17.3% against the same period last year), in June - 4,254 (+6.5%).
During the six months of 2017 13,657 tons of cargo and mail were handled (+25.2%), including 2,198 tons of cargo and mail (+13.6%) in June.
NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport (Tolmachevo) is the largest air hub in Russia east of the Urals on major transit routes between Europe and Asia. The capacity of domestic terminal makes up to 1,800 passengers per hour, while the international terminal capacity – up to 1300 passengers per hour. The airport has two runways of ICAO I and II Categories. In 2016 passenger traffic of the airport exceeded the mark of 4 million passengers.
